My mom's oat cookies recipe
Ingredients for 20 cookies
- oats flakes (175g)
- chocolate chips (100g)
- flour (50g)
- brown sugar (105g)
- baking powder (not sure how much I should put but probably 2 teaspoons or something)
- butter (50g)
- eggs (3 if you like your cookies a bit soft, otherwise 2, I usually go with 3)
- not an ingredient but you'll need baking paper
Preparation
- Mix all the dry ingredients together (everything except for butter and eggs). Tip : if the grains of brown sugar stick to each other, mix the sugar and flour first to avoid lumps of sugar.
- Beat the eggs, then mix them with the dry preparation until it's homogenous.
- Melt the butter, then mix it with the preparation until it's homogenous, there's your dough!
- Take out the grid from the oven and start preheating at 180 °C.
- Put a sheet of baking paper on the grid and distribute the dough into 20 portions on the paper. Make sure none of them is near the edge of the sheet, otherwise it might fall in the oven!
- Put the grid back in the oven and let it cook at 180 °C for 18-20 minutes.
- Take the grid out (make sure to not burn yourself!), and let the cookies cool down on the paper. The paper should stay on the grid so the cookies can dry from below, otherwise they might become a bit soggy underneath.
And here you go
